What is the Hagerman Valley Foundation™?

In 2001 a group of Hagerman community-minded residents contributed funds and formed Hagerman IDEA – now doing business as Hagerman Valley Foundation™ – to improve the quality of life of the area’s citizens, wisely develop area resources, promote education and foster appreciation of the natural beauty and uniqueness of Hagerman Valley.

Fiscal Sponsorship Provided by Hagerman Valley Foundation™

Project success in small rural communities requires an organization willing to provide the capacity needed to ensure these projects are shepherded from inception to fruition.   The Hagerman Valley Foundation™ was established to meet this need.

The Foundation offers the opportunity for any community project to gain nonprofit status with the Foundation as its fiscal sponsor.  This Sponsorship immediately brings nonprofit status to the Project so all donations may qualify to be tax deductible.

As an umbrella organization, the Foundation collaborates with each of its Sponsored Projects to provide any needed accounting, marketing, grant-writing and partnering the Project may need.
